RMTDB data contributions

This database is populated with data submitted by RMT fans like you. If you see something missing or erroneous in an entry, click on the "correction" link to send me an email. It may take me a few days to verify and enter the data, but you'll get an email notifying you of the change.

The work has been done by many folks, both just passing through and some who have put a great deal of time and effort into it. It all works together to benefit your fellow RMT fans.

RMT talent entries

The actor/writer entries need:

  1. name spelling corrections
  2. URLs to pictures on the web
  3. brief biographies
  4. birth/death dates
  5. URLs to sound clips on the web (if available; I've only done a few of these so far)

Show information entries

The show entries need:

  1. plot descriptions; a sentence or two about the show (no spoilers, please!) Work in any keywords that you think people might want to use to search for the show later if they didn't know the title.
  2. Title corrections
  3. original airing date corrections. Note that the show numbers in the database are only a way to uniquely identify each show within the RMTDB. The number is based on the scheme previously published on cbsrmt.org. While the numeration is probably largely in the correct order, I am uninterested in getting into "whose show numeration is best" database flamewars or in shifting numbers up, down, or around. You can think of them as completely arbitrary if that is helpful.
  4. actors: all the actors. This star info is given at the intro (about the 1:30 mark) to each show; supporting cast is info is given in the outro (just before the close, or just before the preview if there is one)..
  5. writers: the writers, adapters. This info is given at the intro to each show (1:30 mark)

Making it a bit easier

If you use Winamp, there are keyboard shortcuts that can help the datagathering process: the right-arrow key goes forward 5 seconds, the left arrow back 5 seconds. "c" toggles pause/play.
